The overall shape was taken from the antique version, but the design was made more fluid with the addition of a few modern details. A platinum border was precision fit to outline the diamond for a delicate detail that sets the diamond apart from the gold, with the white of the platinum enhancing the bright of the diamond. The 18k gold has a high polish finish that looks lovely against the sparkling facets of the diamond. True to the original piece, the ring has a slight flare to it, making it a wider, curvier version of a gypsy ring.
