A French Aubusson rustic pastoral tapestry from the 19th century, centrally woven, depicting a young swain traveling with his faithful dog in an idyllic wooded area characterized by placidity and ethereal beauty. With flowering and acanthus plants in the foreground and a brook flowing into a stream in the distance. Enclosed within an elegant border of floral motifs interspersed with ribbons and vines, along with stylized cartouches and corner embellishments. Wool with silk inlay. Measures: 5’1” H x 6’2” W.
