A French Aubusson Rustic tapestry from the late 19th century after an original painting by the French painter François Boucher (1703-1770), 'The Cherry Picking'. This theme was successful and was rewoven several times at the Aubusson workshop throughout the 18th century until the beginning of the 20th century. This serene scene is enclosed within a scrolling foliate border. Wool with silk inlay. Measures: 6’3” H x 6’2” W
Hanging: The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs.
