An antique 18th century French Aubusson tapestry, size 8'10" H x 7'9" W. This fine, handwoven tapestry envisions a scene with Don Quixote and his squire, Sancho Panza, as he attends to his beloved Aldonza. The central scene is enclosed within a "trompe l'oeil" ("fool the eye") border reminiscent of a picture frame. This lovely tapestry is in excellent condition and is composed of wool with silk highlights. Linen backing. A wonderful addition to any home and an amazing boost to your interior decor!
Hanging:
The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs.
