A French Aubusson verdure landscape tapestry from the 18th century, with a crane at the center of the idyllic landscape scene, sitting between three large trees, in the midst of grassy hills covered various flowers and acanthus plants, with a villagescape in the distance. Enclosed by a unique border with vases in the bottom corners and animal heads between the top and bottom sections, connected by scrolling garlands with flowerheads. Wool with silk inlay. Measures: 7’0” H x 4’2” W
Hanging: The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall.
