A loomed French rustic landscape tapestry from the first quarter of the 20th century, circa 1920, envisioning a festive scene in which villagers eat, play music, and make merry before a cottage at right, within a verdant setting of trees, bushes, and acanthus plants. Enclosed by a narrow border with an elegant repeating semicircle motif. Wool. Measures: 6’7” H x 3’3” W.
Hanging: The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs.
