A French rustic landscape tapestry from the 19th century, portraying a young gentleman and his fair dame seated beside an acanthus plant under the shade of two large oak trees, perhaps picnicking or gathering fruit together in the sun-drenched hills on a beautiful country day. Enclosed within a scrolling floral border incorporating roses, daffodils, and sunflowers emanating from the vases in the lower corners. Wool with silk inlay. Measures: 5’0” H x 6’3” W.
Hanging: The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs.
