One of the very best of the very best! One of the most rare bolts of antique homespun European linen I've ever had the privilege of finding ! 28 inches WIDE unheard of This gorgeous bolt is a hand woven bolt of linen from Europe dating from the late 1800's An extraordinarily beautiful linen This bolt has two distinctly different tones! One side is a GORGEOUS warm grey tone and the other is a warm, DARK chestnut tone!!! Such durable, high quality fabric and very rare indeed to find this dark this bolt has a dense weave, very heavy weight, built to withstand the test of time. Can be machine washed and tumbled dry over and over and over! they don't get any more wonderful Ideal for upholstery, pillows, curtains etc! ( please email if you need a larger number of yards as I can "match" bolts from my back stock for larger projects ) ( bolt 4)
Washing Instructions: this wonderful fabric can be machine washed on warm with normal detergent and Oxyclean, I like to add fabric softener to the final rinse for added softness. It can be line dried or tumbled dry in the dryer for a softer finish

The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen
These rolls are 100% machine washable, warm..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also! If drying in the dryer, just be sure that the roll isn't getting tangled up on itself in the dryer! I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last!! The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasuresHemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms
All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm
These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to own your own piece of textile history
