Wonderful, timeworn textile. This wonderful piece is French and dates from the late 1800's, c.1880. This textile was found with … more Wonderful, timeworn textile. This wonderful piece is French and dates from the late 1800's, c.1880. This textile was found with a large set of bedding textiles and was once used as a large bed curtain. This piece has faded so wonderfully, so unevenly with time. A gorgeous timeworn textile! This is a textile that could only have achieved it's beauty with the helping hand of time, this fabric was printed using the most wonderful bird, dragonfly and foliage design. Wonderful raspberry red and pink! The ground has developed a beautiful warm aged tone. This textile is constructed by hand stitching 3 widths of the wonderful fabric together. The end was machine stitched with a hem, I believe a later addition as I'm certain this piece was reused at a later period. The top is also machine stitched with a hem. There are the remains of hand stitched gathers were this textile would have hung perhaps by rings. The fabric is a densely woven, medium to heavy weight cotton. Today, this piece would make a stunning fabric for window treatments, light upholstery, pillows, bed cover etc ! It would make as stunning addition to any period interior. ( # 604) less

There is a large spot ( please see photograph 4) at the bottom right of the panel that is stained and has tears in the stained area. There is a water mark on the right side of the panel ( please see photograph 2 and 3). The body of this piece has some small holes dotted here and there and some pale marks also. There is uneven fading on this lovely panel. less

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
