This petrified wood top, in soothing grey tones, is raised and supported by a custom silver/bronze toned iron base consisting of four straight and squared legs, each braced with a cross stretcher at ground level between them. Petrified wood is a fossil, which over time, becomes so sturdy and dense that it is as heavy as marble, making it both an aesthetically pleasing and durable option for furniture. This piece is quite heavy, the top alone weighing approximately 123 kgs (roughly 271 pounds). Please note that as a table, the top rests on the base, therefore if used as bench it would be recommended that the top be secured to base.
