The octagon shaped biscuit barrel jars with removable lid tops are made in Japan in the 1930's of porcelain ceramic, with twisted multi strand natural willow branch handles. The biscuit barrels both feature gorgeous hand painted and glazed Art deco style designs details in a beautiful multicolor palette. The barrel jars are marked in Japanese on the bottom underside.

The rare vintage Art Deco Japan hand painted biscuit barrels each measure 6 1/2" W X 5 3/4" D X 4 1/2" H, 9" H ( with the handles raised ). They are in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, and light signs of handling, and wear. The is a small chip on the underside bottom rim of the lid top of the green barrel, it is not visible when the top is on. There is light patina from age to the porcelain finish on the barrels that adds to the authentic vintage appeal. Please see photos for condition reference.
