It has a splendid color and a warm patina. The metal is spelter (régule, in French) Spelter is an alloy of zinc and lead that ages to resemble bronze, but is softer and has a lower melting point. The name may also refer to a copper-zinc alloy used for brazing, or to pure zinc.
It was widely used in the 19th century for decorative objects.
This lamp dates from the 20th century.
The upper half is especially reminiscent of the columns of Egyptian palaces; In addition, we see a crown of papyrus leaves.

Apparently, the electrical system was renovated in the 1990s because the cord, plug, socket and switch date from those years.
