Claude Dumas, born in Roanne in 1955, is an artist based in Paris. He gained recognition through his modernist design firm, established in 1983, and has showcased his work in numerous international exhibitions. In 2002, he was appointed as a professor at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Dumas primarily works with ceramics, creating notably sculptural home designs. His creations draw inspiration from 1970s art movements like conceptualism and minimalism, transforming everyday objects into works of art. In addition to his work as a sculptor, Dumas has collaborated with various renowned artists, including Georges Jeanclos and Giuseppe Penone.
Designed in the early 21st century, this piece exemplifies Demaus's talent for merging traditional craftsmanship with modern design principles.
The saucer shape features a minimalist and contemporary geometric shape. Its clean lines and balanced form demonstrate Demaus's meticulous attention to detail. The natural grey tone of the faux granite gives the vase a neutral, versatile appearance, making it suitable for various interior styles. This understated color enhances its adaptability, allowing it to complement both modern and traditional decor.
