Woven in the 1970s in the Antep region of Western Anatolia, this extra-long flatweave runner began its life as a traditional village wheat sack before being professionally opened and finished into a functional yolluk by skilled textile restorers. Its creamy undyed cotton field keeps the presence quiet and architectural, while the raised cicim embroidery at both ends brings a joyful burst of color that reads beautifully in gallery-like corridors, bright kitchens, and long transitional spaces.
The motif rhythm is organized in vertical bands of hooked diamonds and dotted accents, creating deliberate visual anchors at each end of the runner. The textile is vintage but unused, professionally cleaned, odorless and free of repairs, with the subtle irregularities and gently imperfect outline expected of genuine handwoven pieces. Its long, narrow proportions make it ideal for hallways, kitchen galleys, stair landings, or the foot of a bed where both ends can be showcased.

✨ Color Palette & Design Insight
A luminous and uplifting palette where a warm, creamy cotton field is balanced by vivid geometric embroidery, giving the runner both softness and energy in modern interiors from minimalist to rustic.
• Creamy undyed ground with natural warm undertones
• Fuchsia, magenta, and raspberry pink diamond bands
• Emerald, leaf, and muted teal greens for fresh contrast
• Tangerine, pumpkin, and marigold accents adding warmth
• Deep navy, plum, and charcoal outlines for crisp definition
• Fine red zigzag borders framing each embroidered panel
✨ Motifs & Symbolism
The runner features stacked hooked diamonds, tiny dotted rosettes, zigzag lines, and vertical lattice bands—traditional symbols associated with protection, continuity, and the wish for a prosperous household. Their mirrored placement at both ends creates a sense of balance and arrival, guiding the eye along the length of the piece. The density of the cicim work adds a celebratory, vibrant character without overwhelming the calm expanse of the plain central field.
