Rare discontinued Miranda Thomas for Simon Pearce fish pitcher. Handmade in Vermont, "These hand-painted pots showcase the traditional brushwork techniques that Miranda learned studying English Delft, European Majolica, and Persian lusterware, with a soft blue cobalt applied to an opaque white glaze on stoneware. One of Miranda's signature designs, individually-painted fish appear to swim across a creamy surface."
Very large (11.75H x 10w), heavy (5lbs) and beautifully decorated. There is a very small and not very noticeable chip on its spout shown in the last two photos. This piece can stand full at your table or alone as an art object. Simon Pearce coffee cup shown for scale and not included.
