I was able to find this drawer in the Hamilton Manufacturing Company Catalog dated 1905
There are 89 compartments or cubbies

Looking at the last 3 images:
#10 is the catalog page showing this style drawer, NEW DEPARTURE
#11 is a hard to read engraving on a portion of the drawer that says "NEW DEPARTURE PATENTED"
#12 were a few pencil rubbings I did that helped me confirm that info although, it is still difficult to read.

Measurements are approximates only:
32" wide x 19.5" tall x 1.5" thick

The cubbies vary in size:
Smallest is around 2" x 1"
Largest is 6 1/4" x 2 1/4"

IMPERFECTIONS:
The bottom has a thin paper? layer that has flaked off in some cubbies.
This has many various staining from paint, ink, maker, pencil, etc.
Many of the cubbies have letters written within them as in A, B, C, etc.
Lots of scratches & divots/dents.
When I acquired this, the hardware handle and the entire front of the drawer were painted and most of the paint was removed.
