brand orrefors is a prestigious swedish brand founded in 1898, renowned for its production of high-quality glass and crystal. Initially specializing in glass bottles, the company evolved during the 20th century, becoming famous for its artistic glass thanks to the contributions of designers such as simon gate and edward hald. They introduced innovative techniques such as the “graal,” elevating orrefors to an icon of swedish design and craftsmanship. Despite the closure of the original factory in 2013, orrefors continues to produce glass and crystal objects that combine functionality with innovative aesthetics, keeping its legacy alive through collaborations with contemporary designers.
