Mordvinoff born in St. Petersburg Russia in 1911 studied with Ferdinand Leger in Paris and lived many years in the South Pacific until moving to the US after WWII. Collaborating with William Lipkind on the children's book "Finders Keepers" , he won the Caldecott Award of the American Library Association in 1951. Tragically committing suicide in 1973 his obituary was published in the NY Times. This complete portfolio of 24 is 90/100. There are 12 individual prints from the 89/100 portfolio available. The name of the individual prints are provocatively named Flirt, the Temptress, the Torture, the Crucified etc. See less
