William C. Grauer (1895-1985) Untitled (Mexican Brick Layers) watercolor on paper 1940s. William Grauer, born in Philadelphia, was a painter, muralist, and art teacher in Cleveland for 60 years. In 1934 he and his wife founded the Old White Art Colony, School, and Gallery in White Sulphur Springs. In later years, his work became increasingly abstract.
This watercolor is in very good original condition with wear consistent with age and use. Matted in an acid free rag mat for protection.
