This oil on panel, signed G. Perna and dated to the second half of the 20th century, is a clear homage to the portraiture of the past with a contemporary expression. Measuring 60x50 cm and majestically framed with a frame that measures 82x72 cm, the portrait holds the charm of mystery, with the subject, a noble-looking man, looking at us with a piercing gaze and an enigmatic smile.
The painter G. Perna, about whom unfortunately we are not allowed to know much, was able to capture not only the essence of the subject, but also an atmosphere of other times. The play of light and shadow on the face and clothing reflects a mature technique and a deep understanding of the human form, while the feathered hat and richly ornamented collar speak of an era of magnificence and pageantry.
The richly detailed frame, with gold inlays against a dark background, perfectly complements the painting, creating a piece that is as much a work of art as it is a fragment of history. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
