A stunning mid to late 1800s oil on canvas landscape in the manner of The Hudson River School.
Either an Albert Bierstadt (“California Scenery: Sunset View”, rumored to have been lost in upstate New York, true story! )or a reasonable reproduction of an Albert Bierstadt made in the late 1800s, judging from stretcher and canvas. Most likely the latter. Found at an estate outside New Lebanon, in upstate NY (Hudson Valley area). 13 x 19 inches.
