The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of a hawk seated on a sakura tree branch, and a pair of birds in blossoming flowers made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features geometrical, floral, foliage and butterfly ornaments made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with a foliate scroll pattern. Unmarked.
