Born in Valladolid, Spain in 1894, Godofredo Paino relocated to Rosario, Argentina, where he became renowned for his woodcarving sculptures, particularly active from 1940 until his passing in 1962. He was the elder brother of Guillermo Paino, another esteemed sculptor born in Spain in 1899, who traveled alongside him and also settled in Rosario.
