Signed lower right 'Roger A. Flynn', dated 1956 and titled 'Cairo.'
A Mid-Century gouache showing a view of ther moonlit Egyptian harbor lined with Moorish arches and framed by papyrus fronds. Flynn studied art at the Cooper Union in New York and was awarded a two-year Fulbright Scholarship which he spent in Egypt, painting and establishing the Art Department at the American University in Cairo.
