Watercolor landscape showing a view of a tranquil Florida cove with sailboats at rest in the sand, and a man and young boy wearing vermilion shirts approaching the shoreline in the shade of lush green palms.
Signed lower right, "K. A. Zimmermann" (Swiss, 1927 - 2002) and painted circa 1965.
Born in Switzerland, Kaspar-Andreas Zimmermann lived for many years in Biscayne Park, Miami, where he exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous medals and juried awards.. He is particularly known for his bright, Modernist views of the Florida Everglades.
