Durand Glass Manufacturing Company was established in 1897 by Victor Durand, Jr and his father to create glassware for scientific use. Victor was born in Baccarat, France and worked in the famous glass factory there. His experience at Baccarat inspired a desire to create art glass which he finally turned into a reality in 1924. This pink baluster form lamp was created in 1925. It has a slightly iridescent sheen along with trailing threads of gilt glass.
This lamp is in good original condition. The cap has been replaced, and it has been rewired. Otherwise, wear is consistent with age and use.
