Colorful still life with flowers and a coffee pot by Les (Leslie Luverne) Anderson (American, 1928-2009). A bright red bouquet of flowers with lush green foliage sits to the left side of the composition. To the right, a coffeepot sits with a jug for creamer and another item. Between the flowers and coffeepot, there are two pieces of fruit on the table. The background is somewhat abstracted, implying curtains or brightly colored wallpaper.

Signed in the lower left corner and acquired from the estate of Les Anderson in Monterey, California.

Les (Leslie Luverne) Anderson(American, 1928-2009) owned and operated the Bear Flag Gallery in San Juan Bautista, California for many years and was known for his plein air watercolor paintings and abstracts. Les studied at the Minneapolis School of Art and the Art Center at Los Angeles. See less
