There are no discernible nicks, chips, cracks, or fissures, however, there are evident signs of past usage, namely utensil marks or scratches on the surface (see photos). It has been thoroughly cleaned and gently revived with food-safe oil to nourish and preserve the wood. Any wear is commensurate with age and past usage. Please do not place wood in the dishwasher; only wash with mild detergent and cloth dry. less
