An excellent rare original extra large Japanese History School poster. It came with a collection of 18 posters published in Japan, which were banned after the end of WW2 by the general headquarters of the allied forces. It was used in Japan, before the end of WWII. Published between early 1900s and 1940s. Brought to the US by a military staff member stationed in Japan after WW2. Mat and frame for display only. Good condition - age and edge wear, one tiny repair which we are showing on the image #7, on the rock, if you can see it.
This poster is depicting Sadanobu Matsudaira's inspection trip to see Japan’s border. Sadanobu is known as a highest rank in the officials in the government and he reformed political and economical system of Japan.
