This set of 9 vintage Dansk green glass candle holders was designed by Jens Quistgaard in the 1960s. Quistgaard is often regarded as one of the pioneers of the Scandinavian Modern style and his work for Dansk can be found in design museums the world over, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Louvre.
The candle holders are made out of a dark green glass and have a quintessential mid century modern shape. They were designed to hold small pillar candles, but may be used for votives.
Each measures:
2.5" tall
2.75" diameter
The bottom of the holders are marked "Dansk Designs Denmark IHQ ©"
The set is in good condition that is commensurate with age and use. There are no major scratches, chips, or cracks. You will notice that there is a small seam on the side of the holders - this is an inherent result of the manufacturing process and not considered a defect.
