Piece features a pink background with hand … Read more Pink famille rose chinoiserie asian ginger jar turned lamp with accordion pleated shade. Piece features a pink background with hand painted floral arrangements throughout. (tulips, roses, marijuana leave and lotus flowers.) Front depicts a figural scene of Japanese warriors and emperor flanked by green curtains or drapery set inside a scalloped red frame. Botton is decorated with an almost art deco pattern of mint green, blue and mauve. Brass details on finial. Lamps sits on a carved wood base. Base has one small chip, but can be repaired with a bit of stain. Very hard to see. Would be wonderful in any bedroom or living room, or even a girls nursery or bedroom. Thought to be from the Qing Dynasty. See less
