Beautiful stylized organic sculptural vase by Gawaine Dart (1929-2014). Off white vase with applied organic sweeping forms in a light sea foam blue glaze. Excellent condition, signed on bottom. This is one of two Dart pieces acquired from a local potter and collector which was accompanied with a hand written personal letter from Gawaine and a pamphlet of his works. Dimensions: 16.75”H x 8”W x 4.5”D.
Gawaine Dart was a prolific potter and painter, and he was the instructor of both ceramics and watercolor for almost 30 years (1957 thru 1985) . . . at Henry Ford college in Dearborn, Michigan.
He was chairman of the art department 1960-1973; 1982-1985 he was a board member for the Michigan Potters Association for decades, and at various times was also President; Treasurer and Secretary.
He was a founding member of the Michigan Craftsmen Council 1959 until the time this retrospective was written (87); he had been heavily involved with Pewabic Pottery. Executive Board and Treasurer; Education Committee Chairman.

Returns
The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when
making a purchase on Chairish, in the event that your item:

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.
- Once shipping or pickup has been initiated, the cancellation will be considered a return and you will be responsible for the cost of shipping.

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
- Shipping charges start at $799 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
- Only available in selected markets.
- Chairish In-Home Delivery
