Ian Gilula’s art is both whimsical and sophisticated utilizing a language that facilitates an exceptional dialogue between the viewer and the artist. Gilula brings a profound vibrancy to his art, with color and radiance that manifests his personal view of nature, its richness, texture and beauty. By exploring and elaborating on the properties and fluidity of glass, the artist interprets nature through this material, creating unique shapes and “environmental skins” for his art. Texture, form and color become crucial elements to reflect the essence of nature.
