A beautiful Egyptian Cartouche Sign for the support of King Farouk I ( 1936-52) was Mounted on the outside of the house to express support to the King. Carved wooden cartouch with raised details of the crest and ornamental garlands. Painted a blue /teal surround with a gilt crescent and stars beneath a carved image of the crown. A crest and time of some historical significance in the mid-east. At the bottom " Long Live the King" Thick wooden panels.
reinforced bars across the back. The back is fitted with a chain to hang and a post-hole bracket at the top center of the back. It holds on a mounting peg. The size is 24" wide, 35.5" tall, and 4" thick. Interesting and beautiful relic.
