Authentic Japanese Shigaraki earthenware jar for grain or tea storage from the early 20th century, with a beige sand patina.
This Shigaraki jar is made from sandy clay, characteristic of the Shigaraki region.
The grain jar rests on a curved, tapered base. This small base protected the contents from the winter frost.
The elegant shape combined with the natural color palette, achieved through the firing process in a wood-fired kiln, makes this vase a unique and timeless decorative object that fits into any interior.
Dimensions: height 42 cm, diameter 27 cm. The bottom features a hand-painted signature.
