This Listing Is For 2 Black Leather BIBENDUM CHAIRS 1980s. The BIBENDUM ARMCHAIR Is An Art Deco Design by Eileen Gray.

Gray Used This Design Piece In Many Of Her Interior Projects. Eileen Gray Said She Was Influenced By The Famous Michelin's Trade Mark, The "Bibendum" Michelin Man Of Inflated Tires. She Also Has Said In Jest, That Her BIBENDUM Chair Was Her Response As A Feminist To Le Corbusier's Grand Comfort. The Grand Comfort Is A Cube Shaped High Armchair Whose Leather Cushions Are Held In A Chrome Plated Steel Corset.

These BIBENDUMS Are A One Of A Kind Design In Black Leather.
