Professionally framed in 2018ish, I stretched the barkcloth on artist stretchers 11"x 26" then placed within the chosen distressed wood outer frame, using scraps of Colefax & Fowler's delicate silk Italian damask between the two as the shadow gap lining. A new frame featuring a 60 yr old fabric remnant.
Colors as you see of ochre, ivory, apricot, peach, brown, chartreuse. A nature study in scene is also a study in textural contrast; irregular barkcloth against the luster of silk lining set within the rustic wood frame, preserves these little textile scraps and enlivens a wall space with its charm.
