This dartalogue is devoted to displaying the works of California photographers working in the firsthalf of the 20th Century. A number of pioneering women photographers works are included. The female photographers include Laura Adams Armer. Anne W.Brigman.Emma B. Freeman. Florence.. Kemmler, and Emily Pitchford.Margaret Mather. The photographs are not displayed with the clarity they deserve. The paper is a light brown glossy, which makes it doubly hard to liset for sale. But still, if you want to collect or do collect women photographers, especially in California, this is a great resource. Some of those listed above are well-known; others have faded into obscurity. But all those chosen by the San Francisco museum respresent the photography era known as "Pictorialism." This catalogue is somewhat rare. It is in very good vintage condition - clean, bright, unmarked. It will be sent, careflly packed, with tracking. less
