The shield-back seats all feature a diamond rosette with beaded framing, and french bordering accenting the shield forms, but no other carved embellishment. That doesn't mean there's no style flair, though, as the frameworks are the epitome of elegance, with gently splayed legs and curved seats designed for maximum comfort and stability. Note the pegged mortise & tenon construction. Recently upholstered with striped mohair and brass tacks, they're ready for yet another generation's enjoyment!
