Tall, sleek, abstract figures … Read more We found these beautiful hand-molded sculptures at an exhibit of "Ceramistas em Paraty" in January 2016. Tall, sleek, abstract figures that bring a little drama and unique art to any room in the house.

There is a magical little town in Southern Brazil called Paraty. It is an enclave for artists and has many galleries to visit. The town was built in the 1700s by the Portuguese and abandoned for 100's of years, after they built a larger port in Rio de Janeiro. The Bay of Paraty protects this area and town so well, it is almost perfectly preserved. Over the last 20 years, the interiors of the buildings have been renovated into beautiful modern spaces. I'm not a travel agent, but I would recommend a trip to Paraty if you ever get the chance. In the meantime, you could have these sculptures to remind you of a magical place.
