Offered is a mid 20th century iconic piece, the Kluk Kluk decanter, designed by Jacob E. Bang for Holmegaard in the 1960s. It is pinched hand blown glass, and the Danish name is derived from the sound made by liquid when poured from the bottle, cluck cluck cluck. Each piece is slightly different than the other, as befits any artisan hand made piece. They come in numerous heights, colors, stopper options, and some have even been sold as drooping decanters when the blown glass did not dry properly. This particular one is both taller than average, and very classic Kluk Kluk lined. A must have for any mid 20th century enthusiast, or anyone passionate about decanting their wine and single malts in style.
