This kotatsu is a highly decorative piece and can be used as a plant table or side table.

A kotatsu is a traditional Japanese furniture piece, consisting of a wooden frame covered with a futon (heavy blanket).

A heating element (hibachi) was placed under the frame, where the whole family could gather around and enjoy the warmth under the blanket.
