Magnificent small pantal vase piece made by the glass house, Legras & Cie, with colored enamel decorations.
It is a small glass vase vase in cylindrical form. It presents a delicate and precious art nouveau typical decoration, a quiet river landscape after fine trees that cut the image, a typical characteristic of the Japanese stamp. This decoration is made in polychrome enamel paint on glass, which gives it a very striking and especially light luminosity and color.
About François-Théodore Legras:
At the age of 20, François-Théodore Legras (born in Los Vosgos in 1839 and died in Paris on August 2, 1916) began working as an employee in the Clairey crystal store, near his hometown of the Grande Catherine, in Claudon. There he learned the job of Master Vidriero. In 1863, he entered a glassy of La Villette, near Paris, before being hired in Saint-Denis in 1864. He quickly becomes head of production. In 1866, with only 27 years, he became director of the factory and, as of 1883, President General of Legras & CIE.
with the construction of the new factory in 1871, in a housing neighborhood for workers and, subsequently, the incorporation of the Pantin Quatre-Cheminins crystal store in 1897, the factory became one of the largest glassware in France.
Thanks to its technical innovations and its original and artistic creations, the company was awarded in various international exhibitions between 1880 and 1900 (gold medal in Barcelona in 1888, Grand Prix in the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1889, a medal at the London exhibition in 1890, etc.).
His nephew and collaborator of a lifetime, Charles, became a manager in 1909 and then general director until 1919. But after the First World War, the production of Legras began to decline. from 1919, his other nephew, Théodore, takes care of the company until 1928.
In 1960, the Legras factory, in Saint-Denis, definitely closes. Here you put the end and end in the long career of the French house, which marked the style of an era and left an important artistic legacy that fortunately we can enjoy until today.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
