Serious religious art of the Madonna in adoration posture. Mexican art on a tin sheet with 19th-century gesso and carved gilt frame. The Madonna is presented with a downward gaze and crossed hand raised to her chest. Original condition with darkened colors and flat original surface.. The frame is constructed in two parts with the gesso frame and a smooth gold-painted surrounding panel. The painting is attached to the rear by nails. The measurements are 18.25" wide by 22.25" and 3.2" deep. The painting is 7.75" by 10" tall. Age-appropriate condition See less
