both shelves have metal tops with rounded, smooth edges and curved, wrought iron brackets also known as "volutes."

just underneath the tops, at the backs, there are wooden bars.
each shelf has 6 holes: 2 on each bracket, and 2 on the wooden bars, enabling one to mount them onto a wall, with screws (not included.)

shelves can be mounted either side by side, one above another, or placed in other positions (see photos.)

both shelves have obviously been repainted over the years, and have a creamy, ivory color (see photos.)

pieces are in overall good, original and vintage condition, with some marks, signs of age and previous usage commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time on the overall structures, as they were used outdoors (see various photos.) one of the shelves has a mark at the back, on both the metal and the wood, which are flush with one another. This looks to have been done intentionally, so they would match (see photos.) some old areas of peeled and faded paint on both shelves, as can be expected for their age, and how they were used (see photos.)

both are heavy, solid and stable. They have only been gently cleaned with respect to their original condition, and patina of time.

great to mount on a patio or garden wall, or in a conservatory, in which to place plants or other garden decor.
