The painting, an oil on canvas interpretation by the master Angelo Granati, is inspired by a series of paintings by the Italian artist Ettore Eduardo Forti active in Rome between the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.
He preferred ancient Rome subjects and particularly those related to the Pompeian setting. Garnets, reinterprets with great experience and pictorial mastery,performing the work with photographic precision.
