This pair of … Read more A pair of nicely carved n Italian demi-lune tables with updated quartzite tops from the 18th century. This pair of console tables from Italy are adorned in fabulously detailed carvings; with petite bead trim outlining the apron, legs, & stretchers. A carved repeating and entwined circular pattern fills the center of the apron. The tables are each fitted with new "Taj Mahal" quartzite tops. The four squared legs are each braced above their leaf-wrapped ankles with an x-style stretcher. Note that one of these tables is from the 18th century, and during the 20th century, the second table was created to make a matching pair... and what a splendid pair they are! The coloring is primarily cream with some taupe and a nicely aged patina. This pair of Italian demi-lune tables, with their richly carved bodies and Taj Mahal quartzite tops, are certain to be an eye-catching addition to any home, perhaps flanking an entryway or living room area.
