The diameter of the glass at its base is 3.25 inches. These lamps are truly spectacular in person; there is some tarnish (discoloration) in the metal bases. They have a substantial physical weight and offer lovely reflection of light both from the the glass and reflection from the metal. These lamps would be fabulous in a number of style homes from mid century, to transitional, to eclectic.
