Large ‘Eros’ dining table in very good condition. The table measures 139.5 cm. in diameter ands a 4 cm. thick top. Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti. Produced by Skipper in the 1970s The table is entirely made from Carrara marble, celebrated for its pristine white color and distinctive grey veining. The table is assembled without joints or clamps: the structural design of the 'Eros' tables involves a gravity-based joint between the top and leg made possible by the truncated-conical shape of the base itself. It is kept in place as a result of the weight of the material. As a consequence, the entire structure is stable and strong. This is an original table made in the 1970s by Skipper, Provenance: Private home in Paris France, where it stood since 1978. Angelo Mangiarotti was born in Milan in 1921. He studied at the Architectural school and at the Polytechnical school of Milan. In 1953, he went to the United States, more precisely in Chicago where he taught at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He met Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Frank Llyod Wright, Walter Gropius and Konrad Wachsmann. When he came back from the United Sates, he founded an architectural firm with Bruno Morassutti. In 1989, he founded the Mangiarotti & Associates company in Tokyo. from 1986 to 1992, he held the post of artistic director for Colle Cristalleria. Plastic research was really important to Mangiarotti. Thanks to his personality, his work and his creations, Mangiarotti is an iconic Italian designer. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
