Not a cube is a geometric composition that follows the reductionist tendencies of minimal art, emerged in the united states in the mid-1960s. Particularly influenced by the work of donald judd, in which the artist exposes on a wall four square boxes, identical and empty in a square-shaped composition (untitled, 1991), the design of not a cube is also born out of the square as a pure geometric shape. In judd's composition, the visualization from the central point of the set shows the depth of two interior faces of each elementary object. It is exactly this bilateral detail that is explored in not a cube. In order to obtain the depth effect, two sides rise independently of the square seat to offer comfort to the back. A square that by jumping into three-dimensional reality would become a cube, but it is not. It is an exercise of geometric composition and purification that doesn’t intend to be an absolutely minimal piece. Not a cube is a contemporary bench reduced to its essential so that the versatility of its upholstery is highlighted in the most diverse interiors. Created by architect joana santos barbosa in 2012, insidherland is a portuguese brand of exclusive design. Drawn with the signature of the creator, the impressive range of contemporary luxury furniture, lighting, upholstery and accessories are connected to her personal memories and have been highlighted for their innovative and soulful designs. Joana explores several influences from travels around the world to define her own land as a place that allows her to translate her perceptions into objects of art. The essence of insidherland is presented by two inspiring collections. Beyond memory collection is deeply influenced by organic forms of nature, legends and traditional cultures, as for the identity collection is molded by forms of architecture and art. Both collections are designed as a dialog in which nature meets strong architectural lines to create relaxed and sophisticated interiors surrounded by natural materials and meaningful art pieces. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations
